Who We Are
The Venice Beach Concert Series Team is made of individuals who bring a wealth of diverse experience to the table. They share a passion for music, live performance and a desire to better the community of Venice.
Michael (Micky) Schuman: For decades this long-time Venice resident has been an internationally successful record, event, and concert producer. He has recorded numerous artists including Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, Stevie Nicks, Laurindo Almeida, George Benson, James Brown, Natalie Cole, Rita Coolidge, Cool Moe Dee, Devo, Neil Diamond, Thomas Dolby, Herbie Hancock, Chaka Kahn, Stephanie Mills, Jean-Luc Ponty, Little Richard, Robbie Robertson, Tom Scott, Dave Stewart, Syreeta, The Temptations, Toto, Brian Wilson, the LA Philharmonic Orchestra and Schuman is currently developing new artists. From 2005–2007, Micky successfully produced the music and entertainment for the Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice, CA, bringing it to its peak attendance of over 200,000, making it the second largest street festival in Southern California. The Venice Beach Concert Series is the launch of a long-awaited dream. Micky plans to bring some of the best local, national, and international performers to Venice Beach and to create a trademark series that will continue for years to come.
Deborah Daly was art director for two New York book publishers before moving to Venice in 1986. She is the principal designer and owner of Daly Design, a graphic design firm and the winner of numerous design awards. Her fine art has been exhibited on both coasts, most recently at Sulkin/Secant at Bergamot Station. She is also a co-founder and the art director of the Santa Monica Mirror.
